The recent sanctuary renovation at Ebenezer SDA Church marks a significant milestone, transforming the main worship space into a more modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for its growing congregation.

This comprehensive project encompassed a complete overhaul, featuring modernized seating arrangements for enhanced comfort, state-of-the-art audio-visual systems to improve sermon delivery and musical performances, and an updated lighting design that creates a more inviting and dynamic atmosphere. Additionally, refreshed flooring and a refined platform area contribute to a renewed sense of sacred space. This substantial investment not only revitalizes the church’s physical structure but also reaffirms Ebenezer SDA Church’s commitment to providing a welcoming, inspiring, and technologically equipped spiritual home that will serve its members and community for years to come.

May 4th, 2025 truly marked a momentous occasion for the Ebenezer community as they formally dedicated their newly renovated sanctuary. The air was filled with palpable joy and a profound sense of gratitude as Greater New York Conference (GNYC) representatives, ministers, friends and members both past and present gathered to witness this significant milestone. Beyond mere aesthetics, the thoughtful upgrades transform the space into an even more welcoming and functional environment, designed to enhance worship, foster fellowship, and facilitate the church’s various ministries. GNYC President, Dr. Alanzo Smith, delivered an inspiring message that called the members to not just enjoy the comforts of their newly renovated building, but to serve the community in such a way that God’s church would flourish in such a way that others will come to know Jesus as a result of the presence and location of Ebenezer.

The dedication ceremony of the Ebenezer SDA Church was a special event that meant a lot to the community. Pastor Lincoln M. Smith, who had served the Ebenezer congregation and community for over ten years, made it his personal mission to get the sanctuary ready for the brethren before he moved on to his post full-time as English Ministries Director for GNYC. It was not just about showing off their beautiful new building. It was also about renewing their promise to help others, support each other spiritually, and create a lively place where people can connect and grow together. This gathering was a strong reminder of their faith and the importance of coming together as a community. Everyone felt inspired to work together for a better future.
